1 lb hamburger, fried
1 large onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 Celery Stalks, chopped small pieces
1 Bell Pepper, Julianned into 1/4 inch pieces
1 teas fresh oregano finely diced
1 teas fresh basil finely diced
1 teas fresh parsley finely diced
1 teas salt
1/2 teas celery salt
1 Jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped (optional)
1 Cup white rice
3 C boiling water
5 or 6 ripe tomatoes, blended in blender
1 Cup Cheddar Cheese
Brown the hamburger with onions, celery, garlic, bell pepper, fresh garden herbs.
Season with celery salt and salt.
Add jalapeno pepper and white rice.
Cook until rice is warmed thoroughly, about 3 minutes.
Add boiling water and blended tomatoes.
Cover and bring to boil.
Cook for 20 minutes on low heat stirring every 5 minutes to keep from sticking.
Stir in Cheddar Cheese to rice mixture just before serving.
